BlizzCon Online Set for February 2021, Free for Everyone

Activision Blizzard announced that BlizzCon Online will take place Feb. 19-20, 2021, and will be completely free to everyone. The announcement was made recently during a “fireside chat” with Blizzard President J. Allen Brack.

The 2020 edition of the annual celebration of all things related to Blizzard and its global community was canceled in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In September, Blizzard revealed an online version of the event, but did not indicate at the time if those seeking to attend would have to pay a fee or when it would take place.

Beyond possible game reveals (some say Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 might have a presence at the event) and some community-driven activities such as cosplay, writing, and video contests, Blizzard has not revealed any details on panel discussions or esports-related activities as of this writing.
