DreamHack reveals invites for Leipzig CSGO event
The first DreamHack Open event of the year is kicking off soon in Leipzig, Germany and the tournament organizer has revealed four invited teams. The $100,000 event will begin on January 24th and run through the 26th with eight total teams vying for the first-place prize.
The new Virtus.pro and Renegades lineups will be joined by a rebuilt BIG squad and a rebranded North team at Leipzig as the invited teams. North won DreamHack Open Sevilla, their last Open event.
Sprout was the only team set to attend the event prior to this reveal having won the ESL Meisterschaft Winter Finals.
All the invites have been handed out and now the only remaining slots will have to be earned via qualifiers. Europe has two qualifiers while North America has one planned for the event.
It’s a packed year for DreamHack as they look to host eleven events throughout 2020.
