ESL Australia, NetEase Announce Mobile Partnership for MARVEL Super War Esports

ESL Australia has partnered with game publisher NetEase to develop mobile esports initiatives in Australia and New Zealand for the soon-to-be released MARVEL Super War – a League of Legendsesque MOBA title for Android and iOS. ESL will operate two online tournaments as part of the game’s ANZ launch, as well as partnering with Australian content creators to develop video content for the game.

The goal of the partnership, according to a release, is to “set up a long-term competitive ecosystem,” for the title in the ANZ region.

ESL has steadily increased its emphasis on mobile esports in recent years. The company partnered with AT&T to operate a recurring Mobile Open event, which is now in its sixth season. Earlier this year, the company also became the commercial partner for PUBG MOBILE’s esports operations, which included the creation of a dedicated production studio for the title in Katowice, Poland.
