FaZe & Liquid through to BLAST Premier Spring Series Finals, to rematch for seeding

FaZe and Liquid have both qualified for the BLAST Premier Spring Series Finals thanks to their performance in Group A.

FaZe took down Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0 to earn a fight against Liquid to decide who would move forward. The international mix was able to take the series against the North Americans 2-0 thanks to a strong performance out of the duo of Marcelo “coldzera” David and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač who posted a +22 and +15 kill-to-death differential respectively in addition to 93 and 98.5 average damage per round.

Liquid beat MIBR 2-0 to end up in that match against FaZe, however, the loss sent the team into the decider against Ninjas in Pyjamas. The winner would get a spot in the BLAST Premier Spring Series Finals along with a rematch with FaZe to decide seeding while the loser would head to the Showdown. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken led the pack in dominant fashion with a +23 k/d differential and 82.4 ADR across the two map series. Map would saw NiP making a tremendous comeback from down 14-6 to force overtime. While the Swedes were able to grab two rounds in OT, it wouldn’t be enough as Liquid pushed ahead and took the map 19-17.

The FaZe and Liquid rematch will kick off later today.
