Garena Reveals Details for Free Fire Continental Series

Free Fire publisher Garena revealed the structure, dates, and prize pool for the Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS). The tournament for the popular battle royale game will be held simultaneously in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia, between Nov. 21 and Nov. 29, featuring teams with the best performances in local competitions.

The Americas Series includes Brazil and Latin American teams, while the EMEA Series includes Europe, Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East, and the Asia Series features teams from Taipei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other markets from the region. The prize pool adds up to $900K USD, split into  $300K for each region.

This is the first tournament using the model that Garena is organizing. It fills the gap left by the Free Fire World Series, which was scheduled for this year in Brazil but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The competition will be broadcast through YouTube and Garena’s streaming platform BOOYAH!
