monkeys-forever's Simply TOOBASED become the first team in NA to get promotion to the upper division

We are done with four weeks in the DPC Leagues Season 1, but Simply TOOBASED from the lower division of North America have already secured their place in upper division for season 2. The team, which includes former Complexity Gaming team mates Jaron ‘monkeys-forever’ Clinton and Zakari ‘Zfreek’ Freedman, dominated the lower division by winning all six of the series they have played till now. The full roster for Simply TOOBASED is:

Noah “Boris” Minhas
Danny “iAnnihilate” Cote
Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton
Zakari “Zfreek” Freedman
“EmpyreaN”

Well it's gonna take another couple weeks, but we secured the way back to playing for lans. Not sure when our fan pack is getting released, but I guarantee it will be Based.

Simply TOOBASED’s game this weekend was against Felt, a team who had a record of 3-0, but all those wins were against teams at the bottom of the table. This was Felt’s first real test, and the 0-2 loss, with both games ending around the half hour mark, showed that they are quite a few ways away from the best in the league. In game two, Simply TOOBASED picked a position 3 Rubick, something monkeys-forever has been practicing in his pubs. In his interview after the series, he mentioned how both him and Zfreek wanted to play the Rubick.

Turns out @MonkeysDota and @coL_Zfreek both wanted to play that Rubick last game 🐸☕️ pic.twitter.com/DQlCi6zQqP

Simply TOOBASED’s last game is against Jiang Hu, a team that hasn’t done too well in the league. Based on form, it is a good assumption to say they will end the league 7-0 without a lot of issues. They will be joining the likes of Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew in Season 2 of the DPC Leagues. The second place is up for grabs and while The Cut are the team in the driver’s seat to secure that second promotion to the upper division, Felt, Team Dogchamp and Arkosh Gaming are all in with a chance, although they will have top play their best Dota in the last two weeks to be able to secure it.
