UGC Launches Scholastic Arm, Announces Partnership with Intel, Acer, SHI

Esports event company Ultimate Gaming Championship has launched a new arm dedicated to scholastic esports competitions under the name UGC EDU. The new arm will produce both live and online tournaments across various esports titles for both high school and collegiate students.

For its new initiative, UGC has partnered with LG Electronics, Intel, Acer, and SHI Int’l Corp to launch an online Valorant and Rocket League series titled Battle Academy. The event will begin on Nov. 9 and award a total of $25K USD in scholarships, with first-place also winning an assortment of partner products. Additional Battle Academy partners include audiovisual equipment provider Horizon AVL and digital esports curriculum platform Learn2Esport.

Additionally, UGC has named LG UltraGear as the official monitor of Battle Academy.
