A Plague Tale: Requiem Fans Pleased By The Inclusion Of Goat Balls

A Plague Tale: Requiem launched on Game Pass and everywhere else on Tuesday, which means fans have begun digging for little details. Since Red Dead Redemption 2 set the bar for animal quality with shrinking horse balls, genitals are looked at a bit too much in video games, and Requiem fans have already spotted a goat with a hefty pair of chestnuts.

Shared to Reddit, the post is a screenshot of a low angle of a goat's nether regions. Hugo and Amicia desperately try to avert their gaze, but their look off to the uninteresting middle distance betrays their desire to observe the testicles.

One of the top comments on the thread reads, "Nice we need more games that ain't scared to depict an animals sack." People seem to like video games that don't shy away from the harsh realities of the world, like the fact goats have balls. Don't play this game if you aren't willing to have your worldviews challenged and your intellect stimulated.

Another redditor wrote, "Balls: the new standard of metric for game quality," and they're not wrong. Rockstar made headlines when it was revealed your horse's balls would shrink in the cold in Red Dead Redemption 2. Arthur Morgan actor Roger Clarke even had to redo lines for sounding a bit too familiar with his equine partner.

Requiem has been in the news recently for its technical performance, or lack thereof. It's capped at 30fps on consoles, angering many players. This may be due to the 300,000 rats the can appear on screen at any one time. In TheGamer's review, we noted, " the framerate drops substantially when these swarms are near fire, which, given large parts of the game involve repelling the rodents using light sources, happens quite a lot."

The game is comfortably sitting at an 83 on Metacritic, though TheGamer gave it just two and a half stars.
