Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War release date may have leaked
Even though we now know Call of Duty Cold War is officially real, the leaks continue to pour in for the game.
Today, we saw a big new patch arrive in Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone, and as part of that patch, it seems we got way more information than we originally bargained for.
The update seems to carry a lot of information about this year's semi-unannounced game, including its release date and information about what players can expect in the full game.
As reported by COD Tracker, information relating to the various versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War suggest that November 13, 2021 will be the last day you can claim your pre-order DLC for the game. Why is that significant? Well, traditionally, you have a year to claim anything like that in Activision games.
That suggests, then, that Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13, 2020.
Activision has yet to formally reveal that information, but the case this leak builds is pretty airtight.
From the datamining of the latest CoD patch, we've already found information that fully details the game's campaign, as well as various pieces of information about what different versions of the game there will be (so far it appears to be Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle, and the Ultimate Edition – though more information on the different versions is expected tomorrow).
You can read the game's full description below.
“The iconic Black Ops series is back with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to the original and fan-favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops.
