Child Of Light Is Free On Ubisoft’s Store Until March 28
With everyone being stuck inside due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, what better time than now to indulge in a free game? If you’ve had your eye on Ubisoft’s 2014 action-RPG Child of Light, I guess waiting six years has finally paid off. If you’ve got no quarrels with Uplay and PC, then you can head over to Ubisoft’s website and redeem the title for free on your account.
The title, which normally runs for $14.99, will be free until March 28, 2020. It’s definitely worth a playthrough, even if it doesn’t become your next favorite. The game employs the UbiArt Framework engine that was popularized with games such as Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, so you know it’ll look fantastic.
It’s also just pure fun. Mixing platforming in with some lite-RPG mechanics, the title was well-received back when it released. If your PC isn’t up to snuff, the game is available on basically everyone platform. It originally came to PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U, but a Switch port released a few years back. If you have any console released within the last 15 years, you’re good to go.
Those other platforms won’t be free, but throwing some money to a dev for a game you like is never a bad idea.
