Destiny 2 Reset: Gambit Infamy boost, new Raid Challenge, bug fixes and more

The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset is important for those who want to get the most out of Bungie’s shared-world, loot-packed shooter – it's when the achievable goals are set back to zero, when you get a whole new chance to start climbing that Power ladder once again.

If you need a recap: Each Tuesday, the following events and activities will have all progression and rewards reset and/or removed, so Guardians will want to polish off any of the outstanding tasks before the game winds it all back.

The US and the UK have now both changed their clocks, so the Reset will still occur at 5pm UK – and will do so until we head back into BST next year. Winter is here, folks.

For the last few weeks we've seen a little server instability when the game resets as Bungie applies hotfixes on Reset, but it's getting smoother and smoother every week. Just be mindful that there may be some instability as we venture forth into the next Hotfix.

Here's what you're going to want to clear up before the game resets:

• Milestone progress and rewards reset for Crucible, Gambit, Nightfall, Flashpoint
• Daily Heroic Mission, Strikes, Clan XP, Vex Incursion
• Raid progress and rewards
• Eververse inventory
• Xur – make sure you've got his most recent wares (he will return with new items on Friday at 5pm)

Keep reading for the key details of what we expect to appear in this week's reset.

November 12 – Weekly Reset

In the image below, you can see everything you'll need to mop up before 5pm this evening if you'd like to make as much progress as possible this week and harvest more items with a powerful Light level.

There are three Nightfall tasks with their own special rewards you can partake in, as well as a series of Strike tasks you can engage with, too (play Strikes as your Arc subclass to get items this week).

You may also want to jump into the Leviathan to finish off any outstanding Raid tasks that may need to be sorted out.

Completing 8 bounties for Shaxx, Zavala, the Drifter or the Gunsmith will also get you Powerful Gear, too.

Make sure you slay enough Vex for Ikora to give you some rewards and get that big Gate built, too (and check in on its progress when you head to the Tower, something interesting is going to happen with that Gate).

The full rundown of what you need to complete can be found at Niris.tv – the diligent Guardian who has pulled together all the key changes you need to be aware of for the week in the image above.

November 12 – Infamy Boost, new Garden of Salvation Raid Challenge

There isn't a lot of information on what will be coming to Destiny 2 this week as far as new content and weekly bonuses go, but we do at least know there'll be a new Raid Challenge occurring in the Garden of Salvation.

It's unclear what this will be, but it's another nice avenue to get yourself some Pinnacle Gear as we head closer to the Season changeover on December 10.

We're also going to see a boost to Infamy earned in Gambit, too, so if you need to get your Infamy rank reset then you'll be able to grind that out over the next seven days.

November 12 – Xur

As ever, Xur is in-game until reset to sell you special exotic items. This week, he's got some powerful arms that can help you dominate in PvE and PvP.

This week you'll find Xur in onEDZ, near THE WINDING COVE.

He's selling the stock listed below, which can also be seen in more detail over at our dedicated Where is Xur? page.

• Cerebus +1 – Auto Rifle – 29 Legendary Shards
• Transversive Steps – Warlock Leg Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
• Frost EE5 – Hunter Leg Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
• Eternal Warrior – Titan Helmet Armor – 23 Legendary Shards

November 12 – Bug fixes

Bungie has recognised a series of issues that are currently affecting the game across all modes – you can likely expect changes to come to address these issues.

If not in the coming week, you can expect these changes to happen soon. Bungie, traditionally, is pretty good at addressing issues quite early when they're flagged.

Here's what bugs have been identified by the team:

  • Vex Offensive is not currently offering its powerful rewards milestone.
  • Titans can only throw one hammer or shield per Super activation in Momentum Control.
  • The Firewalled Haunted Forest cannot be accessed by non-PS+/Xbox Live Gold players.
  • Some universal ornaments may appear to be locked in Collections after they are obtained.

Expect these to be patched soon.
