Don’t expect to keep many clean sheets

Sports Interactive and Sega's long-running football management simulator is getting a new edition this year, and it's probably not what you'd be expecting.

Eschewing a collector's edition and the like, Football Manager 2020 comes in the Arsenal Edition.

"What is the Arsenal Edition?" we hear you cry. Well, it's the same as the basic version of Football Manager 2020, except it features the official licence of Arsenal Football Club. That means you'll get the club's crest, correct kits, and player faces.

Presumably, it also means you won't be able to keep a clean sheet and will blow every chance you get to return to the Champions League.

This version of the game will be the first to be packaged in recyclable materials, too, so your game case can crumple just as easily as a two-goal lead against Watford.

Football Manager 2020 and slimmed down Football Manager Touch 2020 will launch in November on PC and Mac through Steam, while it's also coming to Google's new Stadia streaming service.

The Touch version is also due for release on Nintendo Switch the same month, although we don't have firm dates for either as yet.

Football Manager began life as Championship Manager, and is highly regarded within the sporting community. In fact, real clubs have admitted to using the game's huge database to scout new players.
