Fallout 76 DOWN: Server status latest for PS4, Xbox and PC maintenance on Oct 25
Fallout 76 is down this evening. Don't worry the game hasn't crashed under it's own hubris.
It appears Bethesda has taken the game offline for essential maintenance across all platforms, which includes PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
A message sent moments before the game went offline read:
"#Fallout76 will undergo maintenance across all platforms today, October 25th at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Updates and more information will be provided in the following thread: https://beth.games/2MLW5Gz"
More specifically that following thread is the Bethesda.net community forum, and that's where we got a bit more detail courtesy of the games community manager, known as Valseek .
- Destiny 2 Xur Location LIVE: Where is Xur today? What exotics is Xur selling October 18?
Writing on a fresh blog post Valseek told users the following:
"Hi everyone, We’re going to bring Fallout 76 offline for all platforms at 1:00 p.m. ET today in order to perform maintenance. During downtime, we are going to address an issue that has caused scrap items to go missing for some players after they had placed them into the Scrapbox and then loaded into a world. While we do not have an end-time to share for today’s maintenance, be sure to revisit this thread for updates, and we will let you know as soon as you can head back into Appalachia.
"If you’d like more information about the scrap issue and our plans moving forward, please visit this thread on our forums.
"Thank you very much!"
Earlier this week Bethesda also announced Private Worlds, a premium membership for the game that chiefly adds the ability to play the game on a private server (read: a map for yourself) for you and up to 7 friends.
If you happened to miss that announcment, or some of the (bad pun incoming) FALLOUT from the community who were upset at the cost and benefits, then read on. You can see what all the fuss was about.
Otherwise, stay tuned for more details on the Fallout 76 Maintenance as we get it.
