FIFA 20 Release Date Countdown: Start Time, Pre-Load & best prices

The FIFA 20 release date is almost here, with EA Sports set to launch the standard edition of the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC tomorrow, Friday 27th September.

Following a successful rollout of the games Early Access Period, Web App and more expensive Champions and Ultimate Edition, it's now (finally) time to release the game properly.

Millions of players across the world will flood into the game and we wouldn't be surprised to see Ultimate Team servers struggle a little at launch.

But this shouldn't be too much of a problem for a juggernaut of a game such as this.

Keep reading, we'll go over everything you need to know in the lead up to launch, including the games start time, how to preload the game, those best prices (at the time of writing) and how you can play early if you seriously can't be bothered waiting any longer.

What time can I start playing FIFA 20?

If you buy the game via a digital platform, such as the PlayStation or Microsoft Store, you will be able to start playing the FIFA 20 standard edition at midnight tonight.

However, if you have ordered from a store, well, it's entirely down too when you pick it up.

Some shops, such as huge supermarkets which are open all hours (Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA) , should let you collect the game from midnight. I fondly remember doing this at an ASDA whilst at Uni many moons ago.

Of course, there's one thing you can do to help speed up the process before you collect the game, which leads us nicely onto our second section

How to Pre-Load FIFA 20 now

FIFA 20 is available to pre-load right this very second.

The only catch is that you must have pre-ordered the game via one of the PlayStation or Xbox One digital stores.

So if you've pre-ordered the game from say, your local Argos, you won't be able to pre-load it.

Ultimately you need to decide if you want to play that little bit extra to play early and pre-load from one of the digital storefronts, or pay a little bit less (sometimes with extra's thrown in) from a high-street store but get the game later.

FIFA 20 Best Prices

Anyone looking for the best prices should look no further, here's a small collection of the best FIFA 20 prices currently available at the time of writing.

Although you might find slightly cheaper deals on the day of release from stores looking to steal a march on the competition.

How to play FIFA 20 early?

The game is out in less than 24 hours time, but if you seriously can't afford to wait any longer, then you have a couple of options.

First up, you could buy the more expensive The Champions Edition (£74.99) or Ultimate Edition (£89.99) which come with a whole assortment of extra's, mainly geared towards the Ultimate Team mode.

That said, they're probably not as good value now after missing out on the 3 days early access they come with.

Alternatively, you could sign up for EA Access which gives you a ten-hour trial to play the game whilst you wait for the standard edition to launch at midnight.

All progress carry's over and an EA Access membership only costs £3.99 per month or £19.99 for the year on PS4 or Xbox One.

The fact you also get to play a massive back catalogue of EA Access games also helps no end as well.
