Fortnite Chapter 2 patch notes: Skins, new map update and battle pass incoming

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 11 update 11.00 is now available to download on PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch.

Preliminary reports suggest that the new Fortnite update is coming in hot at roughly 20GB on Xbox One, with smaller updates weighing in at 16GB on PC and under than 10GB on PS4.

The game is offline now, with players unable to log on and see the black hole for themselves.

We're expecting the servers to go back online a little later today, though, and the game to be playable once again when the update has been fully rolled out and installed.

The full list of patch notes is not yet available, but from the trailer we've already seen released and the messaging Epic is putting out… it's clear this is a whole new take on the game.

"Drop into a New World," reads an Epic post. "Fortnite Chapter 2 is here."

Apparently, the game will be landing with 8 new default skins – see those in embedded below – and a brand-new trailer (see that above).

We're anticipating more information coming very soon, with Epic due to drop the new patch notes very soon – they usually go live during down time.
