Fortnite Season 2 First teaser poster revealed on Twitter with new secret clue

It feels like it's taken practically a lifetime, but Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is set to release later this week – marking the first big update to the game in months.

The new season is due to come on February 20, as per the developer itself, and it seems like there'll be a whole new theme and more content to enjoy once it lands.

The first teaser for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has now been released by Epic, too. The image – which you can see in the header of this story – released with text that simply stated:

Transmission Intercepted

The tweet has sparked a lot of chatter in the Fortnite world.

With the whole 'transmission intercepted' text appearing in the image, some are arguing that there might be a big new villain jumping into the title.

The gold hand – and the gold items that are appearing/transforming in the map – hint that there could be some massive cosmetic changes to the game once the Season goes live.

The shape of the image underneath the text could also tease something – maybe the new topography of the map? It remains to be seen.

This Twitter poster has gone live after teaser posters for the new season have been spotted over the weekend in various locations including Australia, Brazil, France and Japan.

The poster itself is simple, a gold handprint over the two main protagonists (8 ball and Scratch) of Season 1's 'story'.

These posters also contain a phone number and various messages can be learned from calling them.

You can read more about that at our Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2 teaser posters page.

It stands to reason that Fortnite will be releasing more posters and updates as we get closer to the launch of the new season over the next few days.

If previous seasons are anything to go by, we can likely expect all these updates to arrive at the same time – 3pm – each day.

We'll keep you updated as more news breaks.
