Genshin Impact Will Add The Dragonspine Region In December
Genshin Impact has been the game that everyone wants to get their hands on since its release on September 28. The developers aren’t resting on their success, though, because they have announced that Genshin Impact will add the “Dragonspire” region in December.
If you still haven’t picked it up, Genshin Impact is a free-to-play RPG from MiHoYo and is available on PC, PS4, and Mobile. The game will have you playing in the world of Teyvat, which is divided into different regions and nations. As of right now, there are two nations that you can visit in the game—Mondstadt and Liyue, each further split into distinctive regions. The game’s 1.2 update will be adding the Dragonspire region for you to explore.
Dragonspire can be seen in the game right now, although it is blacked out, so you can’t get a sneak peek at what could be there. However, thanks to a blog post, we know that MiHoYo is working on the region and expects it to be ready for you to explore just before Christmas, on December 23.
MiHoYo also hopes to update the game once every six weeks, with updates coming on Wednesdays. These updates will be tying in cultural events and dates in the game with real-world events and dates—so you can expect that updates will launch around various holidays. Each of these version updates will also come with their own themed activities, whatever those may be.
Version 1.1 is estimated to launch on November 11 and will bring the “Unreconciled Stars” event with it. Version 1.2 will, of course, bring the Dragonspire on December 23, and version 1.3 will launch in February with the “Lantern Rite” event series.
With all of that content coming—as well as the existing content—you’re not going to be left wanting for anything when it comes to playing Genshin Impact. The in-game world has captured the hearts and imaginations of thousands of players. With the sheer size of the game’s map and the dozens of adventures that you can have, the game is ripe for storytelling. We can’t wait to see what the Dragonspire has in store for us.
