Gods & Monsters is a Greek mythology game from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey creators
Ubisoft has unveiled new game Gods & Monsters from the creators of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
During Ubisoft’s E3 conference, the company closed the show with a look at a new IP, featuring stunning colourful visuals reminiscent of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.
Gods & Monsters is a fantasy open-world adventure touted as an ‘epic journey through the fantastical world of Greek mythology’, with your quest to save the Greek gods.
A description for the game reads: ‘In Gods & Monsters players embody Fenyx, a forgotten hero on a quest to restore power to the Greek gods after it was stolen by Typhon, the deadliest creature in Greek mythology.
‘Players will explore the Isle Of The Blessed and prove their heroism as they face dangerous mythological creatures, including fearsome Gorgons and Harpies and mighty Cyclopes.
‘Gifted with special powers from the gods of Olympus, players must overcome treacherous dungeons, challenging trials and perform heroic feats on their journey to save the gods.’
It certainly stands out from the wave of Tom Clancy games shown off elsewhere in Ubisoft’s conference, but keep your eyes on GameCentral for a hands-on preview of the title.
Gods & Monsters releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on 25 February 2020.
