Icarus: Every Status Effect And What It Does

Quick Links

  • Food Effects
  • Positive Status Effects
  • Negative Status Effects
  • Neutral Status Effects

There are numerous status effects that can influence your mission in Icarus. While some of these effects are beneficial, many are a hindrance, and can slowly lead to your death. In this guide, we are going to go over every status effect and what it does.

Although many effects are quite unfortunate, there are many ways to prevent them. For example, dysentery may occur if you drink water directly from a stream or lake. To prevent this, you can unlock technology to create clean water. This applies to other negative effects as well; with the right technology, you can combat just about anything.

Food Effects

Eating food will provide you with a small buff in addition to replenishing your health. Food can be eaten directly after harvesting it, but you can also cook food with a campfire, firepit, or Potbelly Stove.
