Amazon has confirmed that New World server transfer options are being worked on following a hectic launch day.
Not only have gamers been struggling to log into their chosen worlds, but they are also busy trying to hunt down and claim the latest Twitch Drops.
Server queue times have left some gamers unable to play, although more server worlds have been added different throughout September 28.
The good news is that there are plans to introduce character server transfers after the current of players has subsided.
A message from Amazon covering this week’s New World launch explains: “It has been an unbelievable 24 hours, and the support for New World that we’ve seen so far has been incredible.
“We understand that some players are experiencing lengthy queue times, and we are working hard on a few things to help address these issues.
“We are continuing to stand up additional servers and will expand the capacity of our existing servers once we have properly tested these changes.
“Our sole focus right now is to get everyone logging in and playing quickly. To ensure everyone can find an open world now, while also finding a home in Aeternum with their community long-term, we’ll offer an opportunity in the next two weeks for all players to relocate their characters to a new server of their choice at no cost.
“We appreciate your patience as the New World community grows and encourage you to solidify your long-term server plans for you and your Company.”

As mentioned above, it could be two weeks until these new options are ready but it should make it possible to change servers at no extra cost.
While gamers wait for the new option to become available, they have been busy tracking down collecting the latest Twitch Drops.
Much of this is connected to watching the correct Twitch streams while being logged into your account.
You will also need to make sure that you are watching the correct Twitch streams that you have linked your New World account to your Twitch account.
All you need to be eligible for Drops is to log into your Twitch account, set your profile to Online, and meet the Drop goal. Once earned and claimed, simply link your Twitch and Steam accounts to receive the rewards in-game.
Typically, Drops will appear in-game within 24 hours, and for the Verdant Trapper Drop and Golden Rage Drop, they will be available on September 28, 2021 when New World launches.
Broadcasts marked with the “Drops Enabled” tag will be the ones to watch but it should be noted that this Drop campaign is set to unlock 2 pieces of the entire 14 piece Vinespun Weapon Skin Set after 1-2 hours of viewing.
Earning all 14 pieces will require 10 hours of cumulative viewership on any combination of creator channels that have enabled Drops when broadcasting New World.
