Nintendo’s new Switch accessory is a plastic circle for… exercise?
Nintendo has started teasing what we can only assume is a modern-day equivalent of the famous Wii Fit, but obviously for their existing console, the Nintendo Switch.
A trailer has been released earlier this week which is for "a new experience for Nintendo Switch".
More information is coming next week on Thursday, 12 September.
So far, Nintendo are keeping their cards close to their chest, but of what Nintendo has shown it does appear to be some sort of fitness based peripheral.
Take a look at the brand new trailer at the top of the page
Although the trailer itself for this bizarre new thingamajig also shows it being used in a variety of party game scarious. So maybe it's got multiple uses.
What we can see though is people placing the detachable joy-cons from the switch into this plastic peripheral. Whilst a second person also straps a Joy-con controller to the inside of her leg.
The group test subjects can be seen trying a variety of exercises/activities such as running on the spot, yoga, stretching and all sorts.
As mentioned, this isn't the first Nintendo accessory intended to help players exercise and get fit, so it wouldn't be all too surprising to see the Switch, with its motion-controlled joy-cons also get in on the act.
Stay tuned for more info, later next week!
