Old School RuneScape’s Beloved Deadman Mode Starts On Friday

Old School Runescape players across the globe are preparing for the return of the Deadman Mode Tournament that starts this Friday. The tournament will be a month-long as a part of Jagex’s contribution to the #PlayApartTogether movement, where they will be donating proceeds to several charities.

The idea of Deadman Mode is that players will start completely from scratch and have to advance and level up as quickly as possible. If you are a fan of Old School Runescape, you know that this is no easy task. Deadman Mode is run on a Player versus Player server where you lose progress with death. As a result, this becomes extremely competitive and tension runs high.

So, what can you win from competing in the Deadman Mode tournament? If you place first through sixth you get a 1 year Old School Runescape membership; however, the first through fourth placements will get a few extra prizes.

  • 1st Place: $1,000 USD, The Razer Ultimate Bundle, Intel i9 9900k CPU, Intel SSD, Intel Swag Bag (Hoodie, t-shirt, mouse mat.)
  • 2nd Place: $500 USD, Razer BlackWidow Elite, Intel SSD and Intel Swag Bag.
  • 3rd and 4th Place: $250 USD, Razer Kraken Ultimate + Base Station Chroma OR Viper Ultimate + Gigantus Team Razer.
  • 5th and 6th place: 1 year Old School Runescape membership.

It is important to remember that not only can you win a variety of amazing prizes, but also that Jagex will be donating to several different charities! Why wouldn’t you want to get in on this action? If you have not played Old School Runescape yet, you can download it on the App Store or Google Play. Yes, it is mobile! You can also play on PC as download it straight from the Old School Runescape website. The Deadman Mode tournament starts this Friday, May 1st and will go all month long. Make sure to use the hashtag #PlayApartTogether as part of Jagex’s initiative. Here’s to some happy combatting!
