Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2019 start date, start time, new skins and more
Overwatch's annual Winter Wonderland event is due to start soon. Hopefully, very soon.
The recurring event is a cause of celebration for gamers, because as well as introducing more festive-themed skins into the game, it also brings in new modes to break up the competitive gameplay that we get used to in between the seasonal events.
The next Overwatch Christmas event hasn't got a launch date just yet, but usually we can look into the past to determine the future when it comes to predicting the launch date of the events.
Take a look below for everything we know about the next Overwatch seasonal event below, and we'll keep you updated as soon as Blizzard starts announcing the skins and features that'll be added to the game in this now-annual tradition.
Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2019 – What will be included?
We seem to be getting more and more content every year when it comes to recurring seasonal events, which is good and bad news for players.
Good because your favourite characters might finally get that amazing skin you've been hankering for, bad because it takes a lot of time and energy to unlock every new skin in the game.
As of 2018, there are a whopping 205 Winter Wonderland items. These include:
• 28 Skins
• 7 Emotes
• 19 Victory Poses
• 52 Voice Lines
• 59 Sprays (including 6 Sprays from the achievements)
• 4 Highlight Intros
• 36 Player Icons
You can get all these items, and likely more besides, when the event kicks off again this December.
Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2019 – Skins
We only know about one skin that will arrive in this year's Winter Wonderland right now – the new Sigma winter skin.
The skin, which was originally shown off at BlizzCon 2019, redesigns Sigma as a reanimated ice wight.
The tank hero gets four ice-like horns, and his skin and hair go all undead white walker-y. Instead of his usual Hyperspheres, Sigma gets vicious-looking blue orbs that'll cut right through you. Ooft.
The final version of this skin may look a little different, but at least it's something!
Take a look at it above and below. We'll update you as soon as we hear about more skins coming to the game.
