A new PlayStation 5 stock update has been revealed for UK console hunters, with a new shipment reportedly arriving soon.

New information on the subject suggests that GAME will be one of the next UK retailers to offer PS5 restock in November.

Others are also expected to be added to the list, including Argos, Amazon and John Lewis. For now, there is only news concerning these retailers.

John Lewis is expected to offer a PlayStation 5 stock update later this month, but not until later in November.

The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.

Meanwhile, GAME looks set to be the next major retailer to offer consoles across the UK.

From what has been shared so far, the GAME restock will happen early next week but there is no word on how many consoles will be available to buy.

John Lewis is only expected to have a small batch, while GAME usually deals in thousands of consoles, rather than hundreds.

A message posted on the PS5 Stock UK Alert Twitter page reads: “The PS5 bundles page has updated the release date to 19/11, indicating a possible online restock between 9th-11th November. No further information is available as of yet.

“John Lewis expects to receive a small PS5 Disc Edition shipment on the 22nd of November, indicating a possible restock approximately near 25th-26th November.”

GAME restocks usually happen between 8am and 11am BST and are followed by a smaller drop following pre-order cancellations.

PS5: Sony unveil pricing for PlayStation 5 console

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.

CURRYS: Currys does not host purely digital restock events and there has been no indication when they might offer more consoles online. The retailer chooses to sell the PlayStation 5 via its brick and mortar stores via a ticketing system. Those interested must sign up on the Currys PS5 page to have the chance of being selected, which will then be followed by waiting until the next shipment of consoles arrives.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. Between November 9 and November 11 is when the next PS5 restock is expected to happen.

Demand for Sony’s next-gen console has proven a huge hit globally, with Microsoft scoring big sales with its own console.

It says something about the state of the gaming industry, with developments being made to make streaming easier and more accessible.

But we still seem to be far from that being the primary way most people play their video games, and supply issues will continue to cause issues for those wanting to buy a PlayStation 5.
