Big news for console hunters this week is that GAME is reportedly restocking its PlayStation 5 shipments.

This means that if everything goes as predicted, there will be new PS5 stock to buy in the UK later this week.

The retailer being linked with the next significant PlayStation restock drop is GAME, which already has a webpage showing all the different bundles that will be available.

From what has been shared so far, PS5 stock will be available in the UK between now and Thursday, September 23.

Delays are always possible, and as this remains unconfirmed, it should be taken with a pinch of salt until we hear more from GAME.

The retailer will likely post news regarding its next PS5 stock drop around 24-hours before it’s ready to hit shelves.

The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.

The message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “The release date for the bundle listings on GAME’s site has been updated to 30/09/21, indicating an online restock between 21st-23rd September.”

If the new stock does arrive this week, gamers are being warned to be on the site between 8am and 11am BST to have a chance at buying a console.

Crashes frequently affect the GAME site when PS5 stock arrives, and queues can end with no chance of buying a next-gen machine.

PS5: Sony unveil pricing for PlayStation 5 console

Amazon UK is another retailer that is expected to offer more PS5 stock in September; however, it’s unclear at this time when it will be made available.

Smaller PS5 restocks are also expected from Scan, Shopto and John Lewis throughout the month.

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected around September 23.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected in September but no solid dates have been confirmed.

Sony has confirmed that they have sold millions of PS5 consoles even with the current stock shortage affecting sales.
