Rayman Fans Think His Sparks Of Hope DLC Might Take Place In Band Land Or Picture City

Rayman fans think that his Sparks of Hope DLC episode might visit Band Land and Picture City from the original Rayman, as objects referencing those areas can be found in the teaser image.

After being announced but not shown off at the most recent Ubisoft Forward event, Rayman's appearance in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope has finally been fully revealed thanks to a season pass image. The teaser shows Rayman leaping out of a vortex with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach behind him, and eagle-eyed fans have noticed that there are several hints towards Rayman's past adventures in the vortex that might be hinting where the DLC might take place.

As pointed out by Twitter user maedagoof, the teaser image for the Rayman DLC shows several items in the background that could hint at where Rayman, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach are going on an adventure. The first clue is a paintbrush that can be spotted above Rayman, which is a fairly obvious reference to Picture City, the fourth world in the original Rayman.

Another, more traumatising hint towards the original Rayman is the gramophone record player that can be spotted in the bottom left of the image. Anyone who has played the first Rayman will remember the game's second world, Band Land, which earned a reputation as being one of the most difficult levels in a 2D platformer. Let's hope we're not going back there, yeah?

Although those two items seem like the most concrete hints at where the DLC might take place, there are several other references to Rayman's past swirling around in the vortex. To the left of Rayman is a plunger, which was the main weapon that he used against the Rabbids in the first Raving Rabbids game. There's also a TV in the bottom right that seems reminiscent of TV Party, another Rayman Rabbids game.

Considering how little we actually know about the DLC pack right now, it's also possible that these items are just there to reference Rayman's history and not hint at any possible locations, but considering it's all we have to go off of right now and their clearly purposeful inclusion, it's interesting to speculate about.
