Red Dead Redemption 2 PC – What time is Red Dead Redemption 2 launching?

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans, get excited, the PC release date is almost upon us, with a release date set globally for November 5, 2019.

Soon fans will be able to enjoy Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gangs epic story to glorious 4K and all the other perks not enjoyed by console players.

Still unsure exactly how Rockstar Games wild west adventure benefits from the extra processing power of a PC? Here's the team to explain themselves:

"Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC takes full advantage of the power of the PC to bring every corner of this massive, rich and detailed world to life from the windswept snowy peaks of the Grizzly Mountains to the dusty roads of Lemoyne; from the mud-spattered storefronts of Valentine to the cobbled streets of St Denis. New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal."

Even those who have spoke with Rockstar Support, have also been unable to provide any clues, with one post reading:

" I just opened a support ticket with Rockstar asking, this is the response I received: "Hello, name is John M. Expert Rockstar i'm here to help you. Unfortunately, we do not have this information yet. We are still waiting to let you know. I suggest you follow the link. Keep having fun and make the most of this experience. Thank you John." "

For the most part, fans believe that the game could launch at midnight GMT, but you can be sure we'll update this page with more info as we receive it.

Is Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to Steam?

Though the game is available to preload on the Rockstar Games launcher today, the good news is Red Dead 2 is coming to Steam , eventually.

But those who want to buy it on Steam will have to wait until December 2019.

In their initial announcement, Rockstar Games said: "Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to purchase on Steam this December."

It may be annoying Steam loyalists have to wait a month after everyone else – but compared to how long they have to wait for some games to arrive, it's not that bad.
