Resident Evil 3 Pre-Order Costumes Will Soon Be Available For Purchase
Unlike Resident Evil 2 Remake which has a decent amount of costumes for Claire and Leon, Resident Evil 3 Remake doesn’t have as much, thus leaving players wishing for more in order to increase their replayability and customization.
Well, it seems that Capcom has heard the requests for more costumes, and will be releasing the classic costumes for both Carlos and Jill in the future. Aside from providing a nostalgic aspect (since the classic costumes are replicas from the original game), they also give players the option to replay Resident Evil 3 Remake as a different version of the characters.
As far as the price and release date go, it has been revealed that the classic costumes will be available May 7th for 300 Japanese Yen, which is around $3 USD. It’s currently unknown if the release date is only for Japan or worldwide, but there is a very good chance that the classic costumes will release simultaneously for all users.
Despite the costumes already being a pre-order bonus, this can be seen as an opportunity for those who purchased Resident Evil 3 Remake at a later date, or plan on purchasing the game at some point in the future. For fans who played the original version, the classic costumes are certain to catch their attention and make them consider spending $3 on them.
As much as the additional costumes are nice and add replayability to the game, that is still not as many as in Resident Evil 2 Remake. For instance, after Resident Evil 3 Remake came out, Capcom asked fans for feedback about the game. Despite almost everyone saying the same thing (that the game is too short and linear), most replies wished for more/ additional costumes to be added into the game. One assumption is that players prefer some sort of customization aspect in their games and really enjoy playing with a variety of outfits and costumes.
Ultimately, it’s best to wait and see if Capcom will have any plans to release more costumes for Carlos and Jill in the future. Whether they will be completely original or be based on something or someone else, remains unclear.
