The officials support teams for Old School Runescape and Runescape have confirmed that servers are still down today.
Issues began around 4pm GMT and have continued to affect online play for several hours.
The Old School Runescape support team has warned gamers not to try and pull off anything big during the server outage, as this could lead to issues.
The message for Old School Runescape gamers reads: “PSA: We’re investigating renewed reports of login issues.
“As earlier, we’d recommend avoiding dangerous activities, and world-hopping until further notice.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and we’ll update you as soon as we have more to share.”
This follows an earlier login issue affecting all Runescape platforms, that created issues for gamers trying to sign in.
This problem reportedly didn’t stop those who were already logged in from continuing their adventures online.
But those problems have now been replaced by something more widespread, and the latest status report fails to provide an ETA on when services will be returning to normal.
The latest message from the Runescape support team reads: “Work is still continuing to restore our login services – we have no significant milestones to report just yet, but good progress is being made.
“We hope to have more substantial news to share soon.”
The earlier report regarding login issues can be found here: “Our teams have been able to bring back up our login servers.
“However, to fully fix the issue, we will need to roll back progress for a small portion of players back to 2:15 GMT. We estimate this rollback to happen at 17:00 GMT.”
More news and updates are expected until the Runescape outage has ended.
