Stardew Valley: A Complete Guide To Marrying Haley

Haley is one of the least popular NPCs in Stardew Valley due to the fact that she comes off as rude to the player when first spoken to. As more players start to try and complete the entirety of the game and its routes, though. Haley is also a high-maintenance romance that likes more expensive gifts, like diamonds. These can be a huge turn-off for newer players, especially those who are focused on building up their farm.

For players looking for a challenge, though, marrying Haley can be a great way to change up the game in your next playthrough.

Haley is a character with expensive taste, which can be frustrating, especially in the early parts of the game when you are strapped for catch. Most of her loves won’t be available for quite some time in-game. It also can be frustrating as she doesn’t have many likes, but she has a long list of dislikes that include pretty much all the items you produce on your farm.

Triggering Haley’s Cutscenes

Haley is pretty easy to deal with in terms of trigger events. Haley will have most of her events inside of her own home. They will revolve around the fact that she has a secret passion for photography. Players should be aware that Haley does ask for a lot of dialogue, so it’s easy to mess up and lose points with her for those who aren’t paying close attention to the choices.

Two Hearts

For this event, both Haley and Emily must currently be home. The player will walk in on the two as they are arguing over cleaning the couch, and your input will be requested.

  • Make it Your Weekly Job – Plus 30 Friendship Points
  • Take The High Road – Minus 30 Friendship Points

Four Hearts

This event will take place on the beach as long as it’s not winter. The player will be asked to help her open a jar.

  • Yes – Plus 30 Friendship Points
  • No – Minus 30 Friendship Points

Six Hearts

This is another event where the player just needs to go to see Haley while she is home. She will be upset over losing her grandma’s bracelet and ask the player to help.

  • I Will Buy You a New One – Minus 30 Friendship Points
  • I’m Really Sorry – Plus 50 Friendship Points

Afterward, the player will need to locate the lost bracelet near Elliot’s cabin.

Eight Hearts

This is another event that can’t occur during the winter season. The player simply needs to head to Cindersnap Forest between 10 am and 4 pm. They will find Hailey Near Marnie’s Ranch trying to take pictures. She encourages you to join her and take photos with her.

Ten Hearts

For the ten heart event, the player won’t receive a letter like normal. Instead, they just need to visit Hailey at her house. When they enter, Haieyt will take them to her darkroom to show off her photos.

  • It Looks Great – Plus 10 Friendship Points
  • What Does it Do – No Effect
  • I’ve Seen Better- Minus 50 Friendship Points

Haley will then ask the player what they want to do, no matter the choice her friendship points won’t be affected.
