The next major Steam sale is about to take place in time for Halloween.
The Steam Halloween sale has an October 28 start date and runs until November 1.
Based on previous Steam sales, the Halloween event should have a 6pm BST release time.
In terms of game discounts, customers can expect lots of horror games to be reduced in price.
Last year’s Halloween sale, for example, featured discounts on the likes of Dead by Daylight, Dying Light and Devil May Cry 5.
Five Night at Freddy’s, Alien Isolation, Vampyr, Metro Last Night Redux, Outlast and Darkest Dungeon were also discounted.
Left 4 Dead and its sequel are almost guaranteed to receive discounts as part of the sale.
Horror fans will also be hoping for discounts on newer games like Resident Evil Village, House of Ashes, Tormented Souls, Back 4 Blood, and Alien Fireteam.
Of course, it’s not just horror games that will be discounted as part of the upcoming sale.
Expect one or two Valve games to join the list, as well as a few surprise titles from the entire Steam library.
On top of discounts, Valve will host a selection of in-game events and content updates.
“Join the Halloween Sale, with a special focus on content updates and in-game events in celebration of the theme,” reads a Valve post.
“We know that game developers run special events in their games during Halloween, even if the game is not normally associated with ‘Horror’.
“With the new tools available for events and announcements, along with additional visibility for events and announcements in the Steam Library you have some great new ways to communicate with your audience about limited-time Halloween-themed content or activities taking place in your game.”

Speaking of Steam sales, fans don’t have to wait very long for the next event to launch.
Indeed, the Steam Autumn sale takes place less than a month later on November 24.
The Autumn sale runs until November 30, and will be followed by the winter sale in December.
Launching in time for Christmas, the Steam Winter sale runs from December 22 until January 5.
