Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Is Getting Bowser’s Fury Spirits This Week

The next spirit event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will introduce three new spirits inspired by Bowser’s Fury.

If your favorite character from the video game world is yet to be immortalized as a Smash Bros. fighter, then the next best thing is making it into the game as a spirit. Characters that can’t manifest physically, but take the form of power-ups which can assist those who have been lucky enough to make the roster. Nintendo will add three new spirits to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later this week.

All three of the spirits coming to the game via a new event on April 9, 2021, have been lifted from Bowser’s Fury. Bowser’s Fury was the new chapter bundled with the Super Mario 3D World Switch port released earlier this year. The three spirits coming to Smash Ultimate are the game’s five colorful kittens, Giga Cat Mario, and Fury Bowser.

The Kittens will be a novice support spirit and you will need to defeat five colorful Kirbys in battle in order to unlock it. All five Kirbys will have tails and the special abilities that come with Mario’s Super Leaf. They will also have the lightweight skill. Giga Cat Mario will be an advanced support spirit. Unlocking it will require you to defeat the Brawler Mii Fighter with the Jump Increase skill.

Both of those spirit fights pale in comparison to the third and final Bowser’s Fury addition coming this weekend. To unlock the legend attacker spirit that is Fury Bowser, you will need to take down a metal Bowser with the curry condition enabled, and that’s not all. Metal Bowser will also get Final Smashes at random intervals, making him quite formidable and resulting in that Fury Bowser spirit hard to come by.

The Bowser’s Fury spirit event will begin on April 9, 2021, and come to an end on April 13, 2021. Battle for and unlock those three new spirits over the weekend before it’s too late, as getting your hands on that Fury Bowser might take more than one attempt. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has enjoyed a lot more success than the original game. It shot to the top of the charts and stayed there when released. The original game on Wii U charted at number 14 during its first week.
