World Of Warcraft: Wrath of The Lich King Classic – How To Get To Dalaran
The recent Wrath of the Lich King expansion in World of Warcraft: Classic includes a whole continent to explore. With every new expansion comes a new and exciting sanctuary city where you and your fellow heroes and friends can meet, find new trainers, and do your daily shopping and repairs.
Dalaran is the city of mages and magic, and it floats above the equally majestic Crysalsong Forest, a zone in the center of the continent. Unlike Shattrath of The Burning Crusade, you can't just walk in because of the restrictions of Cold Weather Flying and certain level requirements when it comes to portals.
If you're interested in the lore, this was the city that was previously hidden underneath that big shining pink dome on the southern shore of Lordamere Lake.
It has been enchanted to float above Northrend and is now a sanctuary city that welcomes players of all factions.
Reach Level 74
It's possible to get to Dalaran before level 74, but it would have to be via a portal conjured by a Mage or a summoning spell courtesy of a Warlock. There's another catch here because the teleport spell for Dalaran isn't available to Mages until level 74.
Northrend is designed with Dalaran as a central point, so by the time your character gets there, they would have traveled through at least the eastern or western half of the continent. Every zone in this chilly continent contains several quests and there are several new instances to run, so you should be up a few levels by the time you ride into Crystalsong Forest.
The Magical Kingdom Of Dalaran
This is intended as the "breadcrumb" quest that you can follow to Dalaran when reaching level 74, but if you've already gone there via Mage portal or Warlock summon and have activated the teleportation stone, this quest is no longer available.
This is a quest that becomes available when you reach level 74, and ten NPCs have it, five for each faction. All of these quest-givers are in Northrend, represent the magic users of the Kirin Tor, and are located in either Horde or Alliance outposts. All you have to do is speak to them, and they'll port you directly to Dalaran.
What follows is another simple quest, "Learning to Leave and Return: the Magical Way", that you get from the portal trainer in that same location. It consists of using the crystal in Dalaran to port down to Crystalsong Forest below, then using another crystal to return. Upon completion, you have access to Dalaran.

Get The Flight Path
It's a reminder that always needs repeating, but once you discover a new location, don't forget to grab the flight plan. Despite all of the magical energy and skill in Dalaran, there's still a thriving market for conventional transportation.
Make a quick visit to Karsus Landing and click on the green exclamation point real quick. Take note that the Cold Weather Flying Trainer is also located here.
Change Your Hearthstone
This depends on your own plans for your character, so if you're already busy leveling in another part of the continent and have your hearth there, this is a moot point. However, a lot of players still might have hearthstones set to Shattrath or other points in Old Azeroth. Plus, there are portals in Dalaran that go virtually everywhere, including all the battlegrounds.
