Bulletstorm comes to Nintendo Switch today

Gearbox Software and developer People Can Fly dropped a surprise release of Bulletstorm on Nintendo Switch on Friday. The game is now available from the Nintendo Switch eShop for $29.99.

The Switch release is titled Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition, due to its inclusion of Duke Nukem. Mr. Nukem is fully playable throughout the main Bulletstorm campaign as part of a feature called Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour — an add-on that was released alongside the Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition remaster from 2016.

Or, you could play the Bulletstorm campaign as it was originally designed. Here’s the official synopsis of the game, if it has been a while since you thought about Bulletstorm:

Step into the boots of Grayson Hunt, an exiled member of the elite assassin group Dead Echo, after a battle with his former general sends them both crash landing on the abandoned resort planet of Stygia. Grayson must brave the wasteland on his way to confronting the man that once ordered him to do the unthinkable. Will he get his team out alive? Or will he finally quench his thirst for revenge?

Bulletstorm was originally released in 2011 for PlayStation 3, Windows PC, and Xbox 360. The game was co-developed with Epic Games and originally published by Electronic Arts.
