Doom Eternal Pre-Order Guide: All Special Editions, Release Date, And Doom 64 Bonus

This year, 2016’s amazing Doom reboot finally gets the sequel it deserves. Doom Eternal will feature the same fast-paced shooting fans have come to love and will throw in some new and classic demons, more guns, and some new tricks for players to pull off in the midst of combat as they rip and tear into their demonic foes. Originally slated for November of last year, Doom Eternal’s new release date is March 20, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version launches at a later date.

The studio also announced that the multiplayer Invasion Mode, which lets you enter another player’s game and play as a demon, will be released as a free update after launch. In addition, Doom 64 has been added as a pre-order bonus and will be available to download for free on all platforms for those who secure their copy of Doom Eternal early.

During Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference, the developers gave fans a closer look at Doom Eternal’s gameplay and showed off its asymmetrical multiplayer mode, called Battlemode. In Battlemode, one player will fight as the Doom Slayer, while two other players will control demons. The demons can summon more allies to help them take down the Doom Slayer. Meanwhile, the Doom Slayer has access to some incredibly powerful firearms, explosives, and blades, so don’t expect it to be an easy fight.

Doom Eternal has a couple of special editions to be aware of, including a Collector’s edition that comes with an actual Doom Slayer helmet. Read on for more info about pre-ordering Doom Eternal, including its pre-order bonuses, various editions, and price.
