Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Pre-Order Bonuses And Release Week Deals
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases this Friday, January 17 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Kakarot has the potential to appeal to both longtime Dragon Ball Z fans and newcomers, as the open-world action RPG retells the story of Goku and the Z Fighters. If you haven’t secured your pre-order just yet, you have a number of enticing options to choose from.
Target has the best Kakarot deal for PS4 and Xbox One. Not only is Target knocking the price down from $60 to $51, but the retailer is also giving away a Banpresto action figure ($10 value) while supplies last. While the $51 price is good both online and in stores, you can only get Banpresto with in-store purchases. Unfortunately, you can’t order for online for in-store pickup at this time, so you’ll either have to head to your local store to pre-order or simply go on launch day to make your purchase.
If you don’t feel like going to Target or don’t care about Banpresto, you can save on your Kakarot pre-order at Amazon and Walmart as well. Both retailers are offering Kakarot for $50 on PS4 and Xbox One.
Best Buy has its own unique pre-order offer for Kakarot. Those who pre-order the PS4 or Xbox One version will receive two months of FunimationNow Premium Plus. Funimation is one of the leading streaming services for anime, and a two-month subscription normally costs $16. While Best Buy is selling the game for $60, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to take advantage of the retailer’s price-match guarantee program to get the price lowered to $50. Best Buy matches local retailer prices (such as Walmart) and big online retailers (like Amazon).
GameStop is giving away an exclusive Goku Figpin–a handcrafted enamel pin–with PS4 and Xbox One pre-orders, both in stores and online. While the Figpin looks cool, GameStop is charging the full $60 retail price for Kakarot.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot pre-order bonuses
All Kakarot pre-orders also come with a few in-game pre-order bonuses. Pre-ordering from any of the above retailers will net you an exclusive sub-quest dubbed “A Competitive Party with Friends”; early access to Bonyu’s training; and a cooking item that boosts HP and melee attack power.
