Indie platformer Horace is the Epic Games Store’s latest free game

The latest free game to hit the Epic Games Store is Horace, an indie platformer about “a small robot learning of life, the universe and Douglas Adams.” Horace was released in July 2019 by publisher 505 Games.

Originally slated to end in 2019, Epic announced on Tuesday that its popular free game program will be extended through 2020. The company will offer at least one free game per week for the rest of the year. (Typically if the week’s free game is rated M, Epic also offers a more kid-friendly option.) As in 2019, the game(s) will be available starting at 11 a.m. ET each Thursday, replacing the previous week’s title(s).

Horace is now available for download on Windows PC at the Epic Games Store. It replaces last week’s free game, the strategic RPG For the King, and will in turn be replaced by The Bridge, a mind-bending puzzle game with a M.C. Escher motif.
