New Death Stranding trailer is the game’s most spoiler-filled, and coherent, yet

If Death Stranding’s previous trailers have yet to convince you that Kojima Productions’ bleak open-world adventure is for you, or if you need to know much more about the game’s story, check out its launch trailer. It may be the most straightforward look at Death Stranding’s story to date.

But be warned: The nearly-eight-minute launch trailer for Death Stranding reveals much about the plot, and highlights a few key moments that might be considered spoilers.

Of course, out of context, seeing young Lindsay Wagner as a giant or central characters being shot might make no sense at all. And maybe those scenes will further entice you to think, “Well, now I have to find out what happens to [REDACTED] after that!” But beyond the story, there are also what appear to be some boss encounters and environments in Death Stranding that maybe you haven’t seen yet.

A lot of it certainly looked new to me, a person who is in the midst of playing, but has not finished, Death Stranding. But basically, if you have questions about Death Stranding based on previous previews of the game, this trailer is sure to answer many of them.

Also, there’s a lot of crying in here, and the major players of Death Stranding seem powerless to wipe away their tears. Maybe that’s a spoiler too!

Death Stranding will be released on PlayStation 4 next Friday, Nov. 8. The game is also coming to Windows PC in early summer 2020.
