How to log out out Fortnite Battle Royale on PS4
Fortnite Chapter 2 is still the same old Battle Royale game you’ve come to know and love over the previous 10 seasons of the game.
But the process of logging out of the game has largely remained the same throughout the games history.
Epic Games regularly undergoes server maintenance and updates so players can continue to enjoy the gaming experience.
When this happens Fortnite servers usually go offline so as to carry out the updates.
Adding new content usually involves players having to log out and in again for patches and updates to be applied. For example when a new season is rolled out.
PS4 players in particular sometimes find it tricky to log out, as the menus can be difficult to navigate.
Here we outline the steps you need to undertake to logout of Fortnite on PS4.
How to log out of Fortnite on PS4:
Logging out of Fortnite isn’t as simple as just pressing a log out button.
In order to log out of your Fortnite account on PS4, you first have to press the Home button on your controller.
Then, highlight the tile on your home screen, followed by Options, and then select Close application.
This will cause the application to shut down, rather than just log out of the servers.
An alternative method is just to leave the game to log out on its own.
You will time out from the game if you stay idle in the game for long enough.
However, the quicker alternative will be to close the application and log in again.
Rather than actually log in, you just have to launch the game again and wait until you have signed in.
